Music therapy is beneficial in Alzheimer's & Dementia care. Musical memories often are preserved in these diseases, because key brain areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by the disease. Research suggests that listening to or singing songs can provide emotional and behavioural benefits.
Retired at the age of 77, have small amount of savings and live of a basic state pension.
